The Topeak® Aero Wedge saddle bag series comes in a variety of sizes (Micro, Small, Medium and Large) to suit a variety of needs. I rarely go out for more than ~3 hours at a time so I didn’t feel the need to go for anything larger than something which would accommodate a miniature tool kit, tyre levers/puncture repair kit and maybe 1-2 gels as spares.
The ‘small’ appealed to me not just because I often wouldn’t have much to put in there, but also as I didn’t want anything too garish or bulky hanging off the back of my bike. Despite it’s small size, the ‘small’ version still has all the benefits of the larger ones (reflective strip, light clip etc).
The inside of the bag is simple, but practical. With a decent sized cavity (even on the small) for larger items, and then a mesh separated keepsafe area with key attachment on the back of the zip cover.
The bag attached with extreme simplicity with a velcro strap going around the seatpost and then two clips which attach to the saddle rails. The bag was on my bike within seconds, now just to decide what exactly to put in it!
I’ve been using this bag on the bike now for around 3-4 months and it doesn’t obstruct my ride or make any noises/rattles whatsoever. It weighs 86g unloaded, so probably best to only use for rides that will actually require it, otherwise just keep as much as you can on your person.
